Mundane Monday
So, today had really no activity to speak of. Dad came home for lunch, but that was about all the excitement. It's very nice when he surprises me and Mom with a lunch-time visit. I did some walking on my own tonight, about 10 steps or so. I'm getting the hang of this walking thing more and more each day. I can even stand on my own in the middle of the floor without needing something to pull up on. Dad doesn't want to officially say I'm walking till I'm a little more sure-footed. Personally, I think I'm pretty darn close.
Yesterday, I spent the hour for church in the nursery. Mom stayed with me since it was my first visit. Rachel and Christy were the ladies who look after the nursery children every week; they seemed very nice. The other children that were there were: Stephen (about 1.5 years old), Peter (just turned 2), Mary-Beth (a little over 1.5 years old), and Frances (about 2.5 months old). There were lots of different toys to look at. I had my snack of avacados while everyone else but Frances had goldfish crackers. I'm still not chewing too much so Mom didn't let me play with the crackers. Dad came and got us when the church service was over. Mom and Dad said I can go back next Sunday and play if we make it to church.
My fingers are still burned from the carrots last week, but they are on their way to healing. The blisters have popped, much to my parents' disappointment. They are working to keep everything clean so they don't get infected. I don't notice the blisters too much myself; they haven't slowed me down any. The only time I notice my fingers is when Mom puts on the Blue's Clues band-aids; I don't care too much for them. Don't get me wrong, they're cute and all. But they are a little distracting. They don't stay on too well so I don't have to worry about them too much. I think my fingers will be healed soon, so no-one needs to be too concerned; I'm not. Otherwise, all's well here in Sophie-land. Goodnight!
